Hey, hey, Monkees fans: Micky Dolenz leads the entertainment highlights coming to local and regional venues over the next couple of weeks.

Dolenz, the sole surviving Monkee, will celebrate the band’s legacy during a show at Penn’s Peak. The latter will also host performances from country acts Josh Turner and Gary Allan, among others.

Meanwhile, Vanilla Fudge will rock Mauch Chunk Opera House, also set to host shows from the likes of Bad Animals, a Heart tribute band, and Dustin Douglas & the Electric Gentlemen. Furthermore, the sixth Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival will take place over four days at the opera house.

• Josh Turner, 8 p.m. April 14. Born in Hannah, South Carolina, Turner released “Long Black Train,” the first of nine studio albums, in 2003. The singer’s biggest hits include “Your Man,” “Would You Go With Me” and “Why Don’t We Just Dance.”

• The Monkees Celebrated by Micky Dolenz, 8 p.m. April 16. The show will feature classic Monkees hits and album tracks, plus selections from “Headquarters,” one of the pop-rock group’s four Billboard No. 1 albums. Born in Los Angeles, Dolenz starred alongside Davy Jones, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork on NBC’s Emmy-winning 1960s sitcom “The Monkees.”

• Gary Allan, 8 p.m. April 20. Born in La Mirada, California, Allan released the first of 10 studio albums, “Used Heart For Sale,” in 1996. The singer’s biggest hits include “Man to Man,” “Tough Little Boys” and “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain).” Allan released his most recent studio set, “Ruthless,” in 2021.

• Old Crow Medicine Show, 8 p.m. April 21. Formed in Harrisonburg, Virginia, in 1998, the string band features Ketch Secor, Morgan Jahnig and Cory Younts, among others. Country act Harper O’Neill, set to release her debut album this spring, will also perform.

• Little Feat, 8 p.m. April 23. Formed in Los Angeles, the Southern rock band features co-founder Bill Payne, plus longtime members Sam Clayton, Kenny Gradney and Fred Tackett, among others. With a dozen-plus studio albums to its credit, Little Feat’s hits include “Hate to Lose Your Lovin’” and “Texas Twister.” Miko Marks, a country and Americana artist with four studio albums to her credit, will also perform.

• Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken, 8 p.m. April 27. Hailing from the South, Studdard and Aiken finished first and second, respectively, on “American Idol” in 2003, the show’s second season. The singers, who starred together on Broadway, have recorded a dozen-plus albums. The show will feature music spanning the last two decades.

• Vanilla Fudge, 8 p.m. April 14. Formed in Long Island, New York, the rock band released its debut album in 1967. Vanilla Fudge, known for slow heavy-rock covers of hit songs such as “You Keep Me Hangin’ On,” includes original members Mark Stein, Vince Martell and Carmine Appice. Blues-rock act Dustin Douglas will also perform.

• Bad Animals, 8 p.m. April 15. The Heart tribute band, founded in 2001 and based in New York, features Daena D and Gina D as Ann ands Nancy Wilson, respectively. Named after Heart’s 1987 studio album, Bad Animals also features Tom Cavanagh, Chris Parrett, John LaSpina and Kevin Thomas.

• Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival, April 20-23. Film screenings take place daily, with a Filmmakers’ Gala held at 9 p.m. April 21 at the Mauch Chunk Ballroom, located at 41 West Broadway.

• Dustin Douglas & The Electric Gentlemen, 7:30 p.m. April 27. Douglas fronts the blues-influenced rock band, which also features Tommy Smallcomb and Matt “The Dane” Gabriel. Hailing from Wilkes-Barre, the band released its self-titled debut album in 2016, with its latest, “Black Leather Blues,” set for release this week.

• Nikki Glaser, 8 p.m. April 14. Born in Cincinnati, the comedian hosts the dating reality series “FBoy Island.” Glaser’s stand-up specials include “Bangin’” on Netflix and “Good Clean Filth” on HBO. In 2022, performing as Snowstorm, Glaser placed third in the eighth season of Fox’s “The Masked Singer.”

• Drag Queen Fight Night, 9 p.m. April 15. Carson Kressley will host the ages-21-and-up event, set to feature, among others, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo and Kennedy Davenport. Undercard queens include Crimsyn and Hexxa, among others. The After Party will feature DJ Plastique Tiara.

• Aaron Lewis, 8 p.m. April 19 and 20. A native of Vermont, Lewis has released seven studio albums as frontman of Staind. The rock band’s hit singles include “It’s Been Awhile,” “Outside” and “So Far Away.” Lewis has released four solo albums as a country-rock act, including 2022’s “Frayed at Both Ends.”

• Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles, 8 p.m. April 21. The Beatles tribute act performs songs from “Abbey Road” and the “Rooftop Concert,” in addition to other Beatles hits. The cast features Steve Landes, Paul Curatolo, Alastar McNeil and Aaron Chiazza.

• Brit Floyd: 50 Years of Dark Side, 8 p.m. April 22. The Pink Floyd tribute act will celebrate 50 years of “The Dark Side of the Moon,” performing tracks such as “Time” and “Money.” The band, which will play other music from Pink Floyd’s catalog, features, among others, Damian Darlington, Ian Cattell and Edo Scordo.

• Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives, 7:30 p.m. April 14. Born in Mississippi, the country singer-songwriter released his first album in 1978. Stuart’s scored biggest hits include “Hillbilly Rock” and “Tempted,” plus multiple collaborations with Travis Tritt.

• Stomp, 3 p.m. April 16. The dance troupe, which Steve McNicholas and Luke Cresswell created in England in 1991, uses unconventional percussion instruments such as brooms, garbage cans and hubcaps. Established in New York City in 1994, Stomp performed its final New York City show at the Orpheum Theatre on Jan. 8.

• One Night of Queen, 6 p.m. April 23. Since the early 2000s, Freddie Mercury imitator Gary Mullen, along with The Works, has performed a tribute to Queen.

• “Fiddler on the Roof,” 7 p.m. April 24 and 25. The show, whose original production won nine Tony Awards in 1965, centers on a Jewish community in a pre-revolutionary Russian village. Joseph Stein wrote the book, with music and lyrics by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick.

• Screaming Infidelities: Emo Night, 8 p.m. April 14. The DJ group provides an evening of emo, pop punk, screamo and metalcore tunes. The event will feature performances from Patent Pending, a pop-punk band formed in Mount Sinai, New York in 2001, and Good Stuff, a Stroudsburg-based indie/alternative band formed in 2021.

• Cabinet, 8 p.m. April 15. Hailing from the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area, the alternative/indie band, formed in 2006, features cousins Pappy and J.P. Biondo, among others. The band’s discography includes album such as “This is Cabinet - Set II” and “Cool River.”
