Semmel clears 11-0 to take the pole vault event, gets over the bar at 5-7 to capture the high jump, and soars 18-3 to claim the broad jump. Ron Steigerwalt collects a pair of firsts, recording throws of 42-10 3/4 in the shot put and 129-1 in the discus. Other winners for the Indians include Paul Keiser in the 880 (2:25) and Ray Zeigenfus in the mile (4:59.9).
