April 6, 1977 - Lehighton’s Don Emmert pitches a two-hitter to lead the Indians to a 9-1 Centennial League victory over Pleasant Valley. Emmert, who walks nine and strikes out 10, allows a single in the first inning and another in the fifth. Emmert is given plenty of support as his teammates produce three runs in the home first. Kevin Moyer delivers a two-run double in the frame while the first of Kris Kunkle’s three hits produces another run. Emmert later chips in with an RBI double, and Moyer adds a second run-scoring double. The winners also receive an RBI hit from Mike Galasso.
