The Tamaqua Area School Board recently approved a number of coaches, both paid and volunteer. They include:

• Dave Holmes of Tamaqua, second assistant track and field;

• Samuel Schaefer, Tamaqua, assistant golf coach;

• David Leinbach, Tamaqua, junior varsity girls soccer coach;

• Michael Bonner, Lehighton, first assistant varsity football coach;

• Edward Titus, Tamaqua, second assistant varsity football coach;

• Michael Coleman, Tamaqua, second assistant junior varsity football coach;

• Shane Kauffman, Tamaqua, assistant junior high football coach;

• Jim McCabe, Brockton, head wrestling coach;

• James Barron, Tamaqua, head boys basketball coach;

• Erika Davis, New Ringgold, head girls basketball coach.

All listed with stipends to be determined.

Volunteer coaches include:

• Megan Frantz, Tamaqua, cross country coach;

• Kayla Holland, Tamaqua, girls soccer coach;

• Edward Noftz, of Monroe, New York, girls soccer coach;

• James Gormley, Tamaqua, boys soccer coach;

• Joshua Holmberg, Tamaqua, Duane Barron, Tamaqua, and Francis Hill, Tamaqua, all football coaches.
