The Warnaco Group Inc. announced Wednesday it will close the Calvin Klein Jeans clothing and sewing facility in Nesquehoning effective May 31.

The company said the closure is the result of required operational changes in order to align Warnaco’s business with the current marketplace.

The closure will affect all of the 109 employees at the Nesquehoning facility who were notified yesterday as required by the Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.

The New York-based company is a leading world manufacturer of intimate apparel, menswear, jeanswear, swimwear, men’s and women’s sportswear, better dresses, fragrances and accessories.
