Speeder rail cars

Fifty-five vintage speeder rail maintenance cars zipped into Tamaqua and Jim Thorpe on Saturday carrying more than 100 visitors. The cars are privately owned by members of the North American Railcar Operators Association. Their trip started in Reading and went north to Jim Thorpe, stopping in Tamaqua in the morning and afternoon. DONALD R. SERFASS/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
