Lehighton Police Department reported on the following incidents:

• At 1:30 p.m. March 8, police responded to an assault at an apartment at Gypsy Hill Apartments where a 27-year-old woman forced her way into an apartment and assaulted another 27-year-old woman. Charges of criminal trespass, simple assault and harassment are pending.

• At 2:45 p.m. March 9, police were dispatched to the 100 block of Millway Street for a 48-year-old man from Lehighton squatting in a residence, which was called in by the homeowner, a 59-year-old Lehighton resident who allowed police to enter the home. After a search of the residence, a man was located in a bedroom of the home and was taken into custody and determined to possess an outstanding warrant. The man was also determined to be in possession of a controlled substance and related drug paraphernalia. Charges of possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal trespass were filed related to this incident, and a hearing will be scheduled for a later date.

• At 8:59 p.m. March 8, police were dispatched to Alfie’s Pizza, 136 S. First St., after being contacted by an employee in reference to an intoxicated man, Robert Werner, 41, causing a disturbance inside the restaurant. Due to the call, an arrest was made for disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and offender providing a false name to law enforcement.
