First Saturday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church begins at 5 p.m. Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. 3rd St., Lehighton begins at 9:30 a.m. Girl Scout Sunday is observed during the worship time.

Masks are no longer required, however, if you are not fully vaccinated, you are encouraged to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth for your own protection and safety. In addition, wear a mask if you feel uneasy about being in a group setting. Lay Minister SALM Kathy Long presides. Coffeehouse fellowship follows in Luther Hall.

Sunday Church School classes for students ages 3 through grade 6 begin at 10:45 a.m. Confirmation class for 7th and 8th grade students is at the same time.

Midweek Lenten worship with the theme “Beneath the Cross of Jesus” begins at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays through March 29. A simple soup supper begins before each worship at 6 p.m. All are invited.

Women of the ELCA meet in Luther Hall Thursday, March 9, at 7 p.m. Lay Minister SALM Emma Weaver leads the World Day of Prayer Bible study “I Have Heard About Your Faith.” All are welcome.

For those desiring to schedule a baptism or desiring to seek membership at Trinity, please preregister by calling the church office. Pastor Moore will meet with parents for baptismal instructions on the third Sunday in March at 1 p.m. New member class guidelines will be the fourth Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Food Pantry continues to be open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents in need who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive prepackaged supplemental food items. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pick up. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.

The Trinity Thrift Store hours are Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donation drop-offs are accepted during store hours on Wednesdays, limited to five bags or boxes. Trinity’s 150th Anniversary events are Youth-featured worship on the “Annunciation of Our Lord” March 26 at 9:30 a.m., Concert April 16 at 11:15 a.m., anniversary festival worship June 4 at 3 p.m. followed by a catered meal. RSVP for the sign up sheet is in narthex. The next planning meeting is March 19 at 12:15 p.m. Anniversary booklets are available in the narthex or the church office.
