JT’s Rutledge headed to King’s College

Jim Thorpe’s Paul Rutledge is set to continue his academic and athletic career at King’s College, where he will play football.

Rutledge has spent three years on the varsity squad for the Olympians, playing on the offensive and defensive line, where he will play in college.

At Jim Thorpe, Rutledge has recorded 57 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, six quarterback hurries and 13 pancake blocks in recent years.

Rutledge was named Lineman of the Year at Jim Thorpe, and was also the team’s LVCNFF Football Scholar Athlete.

In addition to football, Rutledge also participates in powerlifting and track and field at Jim Thorpe.

Rutledge is the FBLA president at Jim Thorpe, and is also a member of the National Honor Society and a Jim Thorpe Booster Club Football junior coach.

The son of Denise and Paul Rutledge, he will study business administration management with the intent to double major with finance management at King’s.
