Pleasant Valley boys basketball, Marian girls basketball and Jim Thorpe wrestling teams all picked up wins on Wednesday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Moravian A.-Pleasant Vy.

Pleasant Valley concluded its season with a 53-44 non-conference win over visiting Moravian Academy.

Jarod Moore sparked the Bears (10-11 overall) with a game-high 16 points, while Austin Ratti added 14.

Tayden Miller and Joseph Phillips each finished with 11 points for the Lions (9-13).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Marian-Southern Columbia

Marian punctuated a stellar regular season with a commanding 52-29 non-league win over Southern Columbia.

The Fillies (21-1 overall) are hoping to ride the momentum of an 18-game winning streak into the Schuylkill League playoffs. Ashley Pleban, Fatikha Tikhtova and Addison Fritz each scored 11 points.

Loren Gehret scored 11 points for the Tigers (10-8).

Jim Thorpe finished the regular season with a 45-25 victory over Mahanoy Area.

The Olympians captured victories in seven of 12 contested bouts on the night, posting six pins.

Christopher Jacobacci (127), Ridge Snyder (133), Max Pfeifer (139), Richard Kenna (145), Cael Heaney (152) and Aiden Sterling (189) all picked up pins for Thorpe.
