Lehighton Borough Police Department reported on the following incidents:

• A 53-year-old Summit Hill man was stopped for a traffic violation at 1:05 p.m. Jan. 24 on the 600 block of Bridge Street.

During the course of the traffic stop, signs of impairment were observed and he was determined to be in possession of marijuana tar as well as drug paraphernalia.

The man was taken into custody and submitted to sobriety testing at Lehighton Borough Police Department. He submitted to a chemical test, and charges are pending the results.

He faces charges of DUI, and possession of marijuana/drug paraphernalia.

• Police were dispatched at 12:25 a.m. Jan. 18 to the 200 block of North First Street for a disturbance.

As a result, charges are pending on a 39-year-old man from Lehighton for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, and a 45-year-old woman from Lehighton for disorderly conduct and DUI. The man broke the windows of a 45-year-old woman’s vehicle during the disturbance.

The 45-year-old woman was observed to be under the influence and DUI. Charges are pending a blood test.
