Marian Class of ’57 holds reunion

Twenty-two members and guests of the 1957 graduating class of Marian High School celebrated the 65th anniversary of graduation on Oct. 15 at the Tamaqua Train Station.

Members came from Massachusetts, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Lansdale, Florida and local areas.

Following the dinner, remarks were made by Rose Mary Cannon and Pat Damico. A brief memorial service was held for the 31 deceased members and spouses.

The class of ’57 has held a reunion every five years since graduation. After their 45th reunion, a picnic was held every year for many years. Following an afternoon of socializing and renewing friendships, many looked forward to the next get together.

Those in attendance were: Rose Mary Cannon, Marie Pol Heffelfinger, Shirley Dubosky Damico, Roselyn DeMilio Clark, Mary Lou Willing Sproule, Pat Damico, Jim Furey, Lee Schilling, Bill Ward, Anna Marie Marcon Guerro, Gloria Piscelli, Daneker, Mirella Sfarra Gazo and Charles Bookstein.
