The Lehigh County coroner’s office has released information in a fatal crash Sunday in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County.

Christopher C. Schaffer, 25, of Reading, was pronounced dead at 4:38 p.m. Sunday, on scene at the intersection of Hamilton Boulevard and Folk Road.

Schaffer was a passenger of a motor vehicle that was in collision with a tractor trailer. The incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 4 p.m.

Another passenger, Patrick A. Phyrillas, 22, of Reading, was also pronounced dead at the scene.

In addition to the coroner’s office, this incident is being investigated by the Upper Macungie Township Police Department, the Lehigh County Crash Reconstruction Task Force, with assistance from the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.
