Zion Opera Workshop was created in 1970 by Paul and Linn Smith as an outlet for high school students and adults to perform musical theater in our community.
This year’s show selection, ”Anything Goes,” was the last show directed by Paul and Linn Smith before their retirement 15 years ago.
The stage of Smith Auditorium is being converted into a luxury cruise liner by husband and wife technical directing team of Duane and Pati Reichard. Costumes are being created and altered by Pati, her mom, Nancy Keiser, and daughter, Casi Reichard.
This show is known for beautiful songs and toe taping dance numbers, and ZOW has the benefit of volunteer choreographer Deb Strausberger, of TNT Dance in Lehighton. Assisting with additional dance instruction is Laura Reichard.
Zion Opera Workshop is under the direction of Bradly R. Cressley, director of music at Zion UCC, who is celebrating his 40th year with the group, having joined in 1983.
