Arrests reported

State police at the Frackville barracks reported on the following cases:

On Nov. 22 at 10:30 p.m. troopers responded to the Walmart Store in Rush Township, for a retail theft. Laziyah Wingler, 22, of Tamaqua, was charged with the theft of $309.02 worth of merchandise.

• On Dec. 25 at 10:58 a.m. troopers responded to East Miner Street in Coaldale for a domestic incident. It was determined an argument took place between Anthony Houser, 32, and a 34-year-old woman, both of Coaldale. During the argument Houser allegedly pushed, shoved and spit on the victim. House was charged with harassment - physical contact.

• On Dec. 10 at 11:08 p.m. troopers received a call that a man jumped out of a car operated by a woman. The investigation revealed that the man, 40, of Tamaqua, was a front seat passenger of a sedan driven along Route 309 in Rush Township in the area of the Hometown Commons. The man “smacked” the female, 39, of Tamaqua, pulled the emergency brake then left the vehicle and walked into the woods.

The man was found a short time later and was charged with reckless endangerment and harassment. Troopers declined to identify the male.

• On Nov. 17 at 11:08 p.m. troopers were dispatched to West Chestnut Street in Frackville for an active car fire which stemmed from a verbal domestic. Victor Diaz, 34, of Frackville, was taken into custody and charged with arson-vehicle and related counts. The victim is a 38-year-old woman from Frackville. The vehicle involved is a 2011 Subaru Outback.

• On Dec. 1 at 1:30 p.m. troopers responded to Valley Street in New Philadelphia, for a report of a noise complaint/disturbance. An investigation revealed that Barry Arndt, 63, of Macungie, Lehigh County, and a 24-year-old woman from New Philadelphia, were engaged in a verbal argument regarding landlord and tenant issues. During the argument Arndt pushed the woman to the ground causing a red mark on her upper left chest.

Troopers charged Arndt with harassment - physical contact.
