Catalytic converter thefts continue

The theft of catalytic converters from vehicles in the region is continuing.

State police at the Bethlehem reported three converters having a combined value of $3,400, were reported stolen at 4:13 p.m. Dec. 3 at Airport Road Self Storage, East Allen Township.

Police said the victims are from Bath ($600 converter stolen off a 2018 Thoroughbred boat trailer), Bethlehem ($1,200 converter stolen off a 1995 Ford F-150) and West Orange, New Jersey ($1,800 converter stolen off a 2022 Isuzu).

Police said someone cut the chain link fence that secures the storage facility to gain access to the vehicles that were being stored there.
