Towamensing deals with several topics

It was a brief meeting for the Towamensing board of supervisors on Dec. 1.

After approving the bill list, treasurer’s report and minutes from November, public participation was held. A new resident to the community asked for insight regarding disposing of TVs and a fine her father had received. The board decided to refer her to attend the scheduled hearing.

A 60-day extension letter for the Crown PA Builders minor subdivision in Lakeview Estates was approved.

Six candidates were interviewed for the open Tax Collector position. A motion passed to hire Susan Marques conditionally, based on getting references and interviewing with the board of supervisors.

The last meeting of the year was set for Dec. 30. A motion passed to advertise the prepared 2023 budget.

Discussion was held about the Bryan Hahn subdivision and the controversy of the shared driveway, one of which was recently purchased by Hahn.

An approval letter from Department of Environmental Protection is needed to reverse the subdivision regarding the septic systems. A motion passed to move forward with all current conditions and another motion passed to grant waivers on scale of plans and waiver of iron pins, meaning the engineer can use pins instead of concrete blocks for the property line.
