State police at Schuylkill Haven - crashes

State police at Schuylkill Haven report on the following crashes:

• Luther E. Snyder, 70, of Schuylkill Haven, sustained suspected minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 4:01 p.m. Nov. 22 on Long Run Road in North Manheim Township.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said he refused as medical transport after the crash.

Police said he was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo eastbound when he failed to yield for slowed traffic. The car exited the right side of the roadway and struck a tree and an embankment before coming to a halt.

The vehicle sustained disabling damaged and was towed from the scene.

Police said Snyder was cited for the crash.

• Two people were hurt, one suspected to be in serious condition, after an intersection crash at 6:03 p.m. Nov. 22 at routes 209 and 901 in Norwegian Township.

Troopers said Michael C. Watahovich, 79, of Sugarloaf, was transported by MedEvac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Police said he was a passenger in a 2019 Subaru Impreza that was driven by John E. Flannery Jr., 19, of Ashland, He sustained suspected minor injuries and was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-East, Pottsville.

Police said the crash happened when a 2017 Ford F-150 operated west on Route 901 by Zackery B. Berry, 24, of Tremont, failed to yield to the Impreza that was eastbound, resulting in a head-on crash.

Berry was not injured.

Police said he was cited for the crash.

• Lauren Versailles, 38, of Auburn, is being charged for driving under the influence after a one-vehicle crash at 11:24 p.m. Nov. 9 at the intersection of Berne Drive and Deiberts Road in South Manheim Township.

Police said she was driving a 2015 Subaru when the crash occurred.
