Lehigh County crashes

Two area drivers were involved in crashes in Lehigh County.

• A Carbon County driver was involved in a crash at 6:55 a.m. on Nov. 12 along Route 309 in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Chanaly M. Rodriguez, 23, of Palmerton, was driving a 2011 Honda Civic too fast for the rainy conditions and lost control of the vehicle while in a left curve. The vehicle left the road and crashed.

Rodriguez suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, by Cetronia ambulance. The vehicle had to be towed.

She was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.

• On Nov. 11 at 1:46 p.m. Rita A. Fuentes, 55, of Tamaqua, was driving a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 truck northbound on Route 309 in Lynn Township when she lost control and the vehicle struck guide rail along the berm. Fuentes sustained a possible injury but refused medical treatment. The truck was towed.

She was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.
