Dr. David Yanoff, a partner in a local movie theater enterprise, announced it will be show time at the Mahoning Valley Cinemas in December when at least four screens of a proposed eight-screen movie theater will be ready for operation.

The cinema is being built at the site of the former Bright’s store in the Carbon Plaza Mall. Bright’s closed on March 4.

Yanoff and Fernando Iannarelli of Philadelphia are partners in the establishment of the cinema, which he said will show first-run films. About 140 applications for usher, refreshment stand personnel and ticket seller positions have been received in anticipation of the cimena’s opening, he said.
