Carbon County court - DUI

Carbon County President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II heard driving under the influence cases on Friday, accepting guilty pleas from five defendants and sentencing a defendant who previously entered a plea.

Jonathan Zerby, 31, of Palmerton, was sentenced to serve 30 days to six months in jail, pay a fine of $1,500 and license suspended for a year.

He was given credit for 99 days spent in a inpatient rehabilitation program and paroled.

He was arrested on Oct. 3, 2021, and originally charged with 11 counts.

Brenda Marie Dalzell, 57, of West Hazleton, was arrested on Oct. 30, 2020, by Weatherly police for DUI of a controlled substance.

Sentencing was deferred so she can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.

John Paulshock, 58, of Beaver Meadows, was arrested on April 16, by Weatherly police for DUI of alcohol.

Sentencing was deferred so he can apply for the house arrest program.

Robert L. Myers Jr., 32, of Palmerton, was arrested on Feb. 26, 2020, by Palmerton police for DUI of alcohol.

Sentencing was deferred so he can get a drug and alcohol evaluation and apply for the house arrest program.

Brooke M. Baran, 40, of Weatherly, was arrested on Oct. 27, 2021, by state police at Hazleton for DUI of a controlled substance.

Sentencing was deferred so she can get a drug and alcohol evaluation.

Philip Michael Lynott, 24, of Camp Hill, and formerly of Gouldsboro, was arrested on July 22, 2021, by state police at Fern Ridge. He also pleaded to one count of firearm not to be carried without a permit.

He was originally charged with nine counts.

Lynott is an inmate in the state correctional institution at Rockview, Bellefonte, Centre County.

Sentencing was deferred so he can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
