November 5, 1971 - Reggie Carulli breaks a tie game with a 3-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter to propel Marian to a 28-22 Homecoming victory over Nativity. With seven minutes to play, the Colts take over on their own 47-yard line and stick entirely on the ground to drive 53 yards for the go-ahead score. Carulli also catches an 11-yard TD pass from Terry McElmoyle. The winners, coached by Joe Leonzi, receive touchdown runs from Gary Grant (32 yards) and Thad Kosciolek (seven yards). On defense, Jack Bargilione intercepts a pass and recovers a fumble.
