Griffiths carries 19 times for 161 yards and three touchdowns, reaching the end zone on runs of 14 and 37 in the first half and from 11 yards out in the second. Tamaqua, coached by Sam Bonner, also receives a 24-yard TD run from Garth Lakitsky, who finishes the contest with 84 yards on the ground. The Raiders’ defense limits the Miners to minus-21 yards over the final two quarters and gets interceptions from Dalton Nunemacher and Peter Conforti.
