October 22, 1982 - Tamaqua receives a strong rushing attack from both John Myers and Rick Nunemacher to lead the Blue Raiders to a 28-8 victory over rival Panther Valley. Myers collects 146 yards on 15 carries and scores two touchdowns, while Nunemacher finishes the contest with 109 yards and two scores on 18 attempts. In all, Tamaqua - coached by Dale Titus - rushes for 306 yards. After a scoreless first half, the Raiders receive TD runs on nine and 17 yards from Nunemacher and 27 and 34 yards from Myers.
