October 8, 2004 - Jim Thorpe’s Red Swarm defense shuts down Minersville en route to a 35-0 victory on Homecoming Night. Justin Young records three sacks and Aaron Smith intercepts two passes to lead the Olympians, coached by Mark Rosenberger. Thorpe allows just 55 yards of offense, including minus-nine on the ground. Dan Flizack throws two touchdowns passes - a 29-yarder to Craig Zurn to open the scoring and an 8-yarder to Smith to extend the lead in the second quarter. Jason Figura runs for 120 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries, while Young also adds a TD run.
