State police at the Belfast barracks charged a 32-year-old Effort man with theft and trespassing after they were summoned to Main Street in Glendon, Northampton County, at 3:58 p.m. Sept. 3.

An Easton man told police scrap metal was stolen from in front of his garage.

Police said later in the evening, troopers spotted a vehicle in Wilson, made a traffic stop and identified the driver as the theft suspect.
