August 25, 1958 - Bill Semko tosses a six-hitter from the mound and also collects a pair of hits at the plate to help Tamaqua gain a 7-3 victory over Coaldale in the Panther Valley Little League tournament. Semko walks two and strikes out seven for the winners, coached by Don Ansbach and Pat Sweeney. Paul Lenick clubs a two-run homer for the Tams in the first inning, while Dan Kabana drills a solo shot in the fifth. Bill Yacobenas also delivers a three-run double in the second. Bernie Heller chips in with a hit and two runs. For Coaldale, Richard Miller hits a two-run homer.
