• Carbon County Friends of Animals will host a wine event at Radical Wine Company, 511 E. Mahoning Drive E., Lehighton, from noon to 4 p.m. on Aug. 14.

Radical Wine will donate $1 to CCFOA for every beverage purchased including wine, beer, slushies and mixed drinks.

You can also bring any of the following items to be entered to win a door prize: laundry detergent, cleaning supplies (bleach, etc.), Lysol spray, paper towels, canned cat food.

DJ Star Tracks will provide entertainment and raffles and food will be available for purchase.

• CCFOA will hold its annual Coach/Vera Bradley/cash bingo at the Orioles Club, 475 Orioles Drive, Lehighton, on Sept. 11.

Doors for the event open at 10 a.m. and the bingo will begin at noon.

There will also be a raffle from 10 a.m. to noon; a 50/50 and food available for purchase.
