Donald retires all 15 batters he faces, striking out six in the victory. He also collects a hit and scores two runs. Ed Tomchick delivers a single, a triple and three runs, while Mike Baddick adds a double and two runs. In the opener, the Senators register a 3-2 victory behind the pitching of Greenzweig.
