The Schuylkill County Democratic Committee recently held its fifth annual Kennedy Dinner at the Mountain Valley Banquet Hall in Barnesville. Ninety people attended.

Shavonnia Corbin-Johnson, the political director of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, was the keynote speaker.

Newly elected officers were introduced and include Todd Zimmerman, chairman; Chester C. Corse, parliamentarian; Mary Gildea Mack, secretary; and Marybeth Matz, financial officer.

Carol and Walter Leashefski, of Orwigsburg, were honored for more than 40 years of service to the Democratic Party.
