Palmerton dropped a Connie Mack league contest to Hellertown on Friday.

Hellertown jumped out to an early lead and held on to post a 9-6 Lehigh Valley Connie Mack League victory over Palmerton.

Joey Griffith had two hits, a run and an RBI for the winners, who raced to a 7-1 second-inning advantage. Hellertown also received two hits and a run from Thomas Ubriao and a hit and three runs from winning pitcher Philip Taylor.

For the Blue Bombers, who dropped to 2-4, Trey Sterling and Nate Stroup both had a hit and scored a run. AJ Borger added a hit and an RBI, while Matthew Domski walked twice and scored two runs.
