With two outs in the final frame, Bill Damiano singles and Paul Ruzicka reaches on an error. After a double steal, Thear’s hit chases home both runners to give his team the lead. Ruzicka, who goes the distance on the mound and ends with a six-hitter, pitches a scoreless ninth to secure the win. The Nesquers also receive a two-run homer from Joe Fauzio, who collects two hits in the contest.
