A Slatington driver was involved in a one-vehicle crash at 4:59 p.m. on May 6 along South Krocks Road in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said John T. Loper, 59, was driving a 2020 Dodge Caravan when it left the road and struck a utility pole and a tree. Troopers said Loper may have suffered a medical episode just prior to the crash. He was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, for evaluation. The vehicle was towed.

He was cited for the crash.
