Maue, Travin compete at NCAC Championships

Tamaqua graduate Sarah Maue earned All-NCAC honors at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, which were held May 4-5.

Maue, a junior at Allegheny College, received her recognition for her third-place finish in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a time of 11:48.68.

The former Blue Raider also captured fifth place in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:59.25. Northwestern graduate and fellow Gator teammate Molly Tarvin also competed in the 1,500 meter race and crossed the line in eighth place with a time of 5:01.75.

Maue posted a second in the 1500 (5:00.91) and an eighth in the 800 (2:34.75) in the Oberlin Spring Opener, and added a runner-up finish in the 3000 steeplechase (12:18.62) at the Westminster 2022 Invitational. She also placed ninth in the 1 mile (5:28.08) and 11th in the 5000 (18:42.29) at the Bucknell Bison Outddor Classic.

Tarvin, meanwhile, turned in a second-place performance in the 5000 (19:17.15) at the Sparky Adams Invitation, and was fifth in the 1500 (5:08.86) at the Westminster 2022 Invitational. She also posted a time of 5:03.86 in the 1500 at the Bucknell Bison Outddor Classic.

This past Thursday at Allegheny’s annual Marty Goldberg Gator Invite, Maue took first in the 800 with a time of 2:29.19. Tarvin, meanwhile, captured a third-place finish in the 1,500, crossing the finish line in 4:57.79.
