Palmerton Police log

During April, Palmerton Police Department responded to 121 calls for service. The following were charged:

• Brian Hall, 48, of Northampton, charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and theft by deception, for an incident March 5 in the 400 block of Delaware Avenue.

• Patricia Keller, 55, Schnecksville, theft of services, access device fraud, and intimidation of a witness, for an incident April 1 in the 300 block of Delaware Avenue.

• Chance Whiteman, 21, Palmerton, prohibited offensive weapons, for an incident April 4 at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Mauch Chunk Road.

• Edward Barde, 58, Easton, three counts of driving under the influence; one count each of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, criminal mischief, recklessly endangering another person, and obstructing administration of law, along with seven summary traffic violations, for an incident April 10 in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue.

• Edward Kleintop, 50, Lehighton, prohibited possession of a firearm, flight to avoid apprehension, obstructing administration of law, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with five summary traffic violations, for an incident April 16 in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.

• Tarah Bartholomew, 43, Palmerton, harassment and a violation of communication with 911 systems, for an incident April 27 in the 700 block of West Princeton Avenue.

• Catherine Kennedy, 31, Walnutport, two counts of driving under the influence, along with three summary traffic violations, for an incident April 22 in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.

• In addition, Palmerton Police issued 104 traffic citations: 35 for expired inspection, 22 for obedience to traffic control devices, 10 for expired emissions, nine for speeding, seven for driving under suspension, five for driving without a license, five for failure to activate hazard signals, three for restraint systems, two for careless driving, two for failure to yield to pedestrians, two for expired registration, one for general lighting requirements, and one for disregarding no left turn sign; six traffic violation warnings; and two non-traffic citations.
