Schuylkill County court

Schuylkill County Judge Charles M. Miller recently ruled on two bench warrants involving people charged by local police.

David N. Benitez, 38, of Lansdowne, Delaware County, was charged by McAdoo Police Officer Jeffrey S. Wainwright with three counts of making terroristic threats; recklessly endangering another person; and criminal attempt - theft from a motor vehicle on Oct. 28, 2019.

He failed to appear for a probation revocation hearing, and Judge Miller issued a bench warrant.

Joseph Senese, 42, of Pittston, Luzerne County, was charged by Kline Township Police Officer John D. Petrilla Jr. with deceptive business practices, theft by deception, and receiving advance payment for services he failed to perform on June 1, 2018.

A bench warrant was issued for Senese when he failed to appear for a preliminary hearing before District Judge Stephen Bayer on Feb. 27, 2019.

Judge Miller dissolved the warrant on April 25, and imposed conditions, including that the defendant must stay at 122 Butler St., Pittston, and not move from there without notifying his attorney, the Clerk of Courts office, and the district attorney’s office; he shall attend a status conference at the courthouse at 1:30 p.m. May 12; he must not engage in criminal activity, and he must appear for all court proceedings, and pay a $213.81 bench warrant fee.
