– Scott Kmetz tosses a no-hitter to lead Jim Thorpe to a 12-0 victory over Freeland MMI in Hughie McGeehan League play. Kmetz strikes out eight batters and allows just two MMI players to get aboard, both on walks, as the Olympians up their league mark to 2-1. Dean Burnhauser collects a pair of hits and knocks in three runs to pace the Olympians, who also receive a bases-loaded double off the bat of Dave Steidle.
