NL School Board — Personnel

Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following personnel matters on Monday:

• Retirement of Susan DeFrain, cook’s helper at Peter’s Elementary, effective the end of the 2021-2022 school year, after 32.5 years of service.

• Retirement of Janet Millen, Peters/Slatington Elementary art teacher, effective the end of the 2021-2022 school year, after 35 years of service.

• Resignations of Gerald Hadinger Jr., cook’s helper, effective immediately, and Denise Hoadley, health room assistant, effective April 22.

• Kassandra Beller, ELDP instructional paraprofessional, funded through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund grant, $15.91 an hour, effective 2022-2023 school year, with termination date the end of the 2022-2023 school year.

• Tina Beltz, cafeteria/hall monitor at Northern Lehigh Middle School, $14.28 an hour, effective 2022-2023 school year, with termination date the end of the 2022-2023 school year. Director Robin Distler abstained.

• Ashley Heydt, Bookkeeper II Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable, $31,518 (prorated), effective April 19.

• Tamara Stubits, from technology integration specialist to elementary teacher, no change in salary, effective 2022-2023 school year.

• Jo-Ann Papay as substitute cafeteria worker for the 2021-2022 school year at the 2021-2022 substitute rate as approved on the Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule.

• Kimberly Filipovitz, Shannon Jones, Alexis Middaugh, and Anthony Tulio, instructors, Collective Bargaining Agreement current rate per hour, completion program premium pay up to $1,000; and Andrea Rosario and Angie Thomas, paraprofessionals, hourly rate, completion program premium pay up to $750, to the Open Horizons/I.N.S.P.I.R.E. Summer Program Positions, for the summer of 2022.

• Timothy Weaber, director, $2,580; Jennifer Butz, coordinator, $2,220; Tamara Stubits, instructor, $1,500; Kori Dibilio, instructor, $1,500; Nicole Nightlinger, instructor, $1,500; Christine Leslie, instructor, $1,500, to STEAM Camp positions for the summer of 2022, with funding through the Northern Lehigh Education Foundation. Director Gary Fedorcha abstained.

• Mary Frank and Rajeev Gupta, instructors, $1,500, to Middle School STEAM Camp positions for the summer of 2022, funding through Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund.

• Employ Tracy Hoffman, school nurse, Summer STEAM Camp, Open Horizons/I.N.S.P.I.R.E. and ESY Summer Programs for up to five hours a day at the Teacher Collective Bargaining Agreement amount of $30 per hour plus the one-time completion program premium pay of $1,000, funded through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund grant.

• A tuition free one-week elementary summer band program and also approved a stipend for summer band program director, Steven Jonkman, stipend $1,000, to be paid out of funds for learning loss. The summer band program will run Aug. 15-19.
