Schuylkill judge dissolves bench warrants

Schuylkill County Judge Charles M. Miller has dissolved three bench warrants against a Coaldale man.

Paul D. Weirich, 35, of Coaldale, had his first bench warrant dissolved by Miller and bail set at $2,500 percentage, meaning Weirich would have to post $250.

Miller attached the following conditions: Weirich must stay at 105 Miner St., Coaldale, and not move from there without notifying his attorney, the Clerk of Courts office, and the district attorney’s office; he must not possess or consume alcohol, controlled substances, or prescribed medication unless it is prescribed to him; he shall attend a status conference at the courthouse at 1:30 p.m. April 28; he must pay $232.53 bench warrant and transportation fees; he must not engage in criminal activity, and just appear for all court proceedings.

Frackville State Trooper Joseph J. Aponick charged Weirich with four counts of retail theft on July 31, 2019.

In a second matter, Weirich was charged by Coaldale Police Officer Ryan H. Oldt with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia on Aug. 9, 2019.

Miller dissolved his bench warrant and set the same conditions, except that Weirich’s bail is unsecured.

In the third case, Weirich was charged by Oldt with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and two counts of harassment on June 7, 2019.

Miller dissolved his bench warrant and set the same conditions as in the first case.
