ABOVE: Wires were knocked down in the region Thursday afternoon as storms moves through. More than an inch of rain fell in the last 24 hours. Crews worked on restoration in the 800 block Mahoning Drive east, in Mahoning Township, where poles were knocked down.

RIGHT: Route 309 in West Penn Township was reduced to one lane after a tree fell across wires Thursday afternoon. The incident was along the southbound lanes about a half mile north of the Route 895 intersection at Snyders.
