Sgt. Toby Krajcirik, Lansford police officer who serves as permanent blood recruitment chairman of the town, last night was elected president of the Pennsylvania Central District Regional Blood Program, which includes seven Red Cross chapters.

During the meeting held at the Sun Valley Inn located between Hazleton and Wilkes-Barre, two other Carbon County residents were elected to district offices.

They are Anna Krauchick, Lansford, who was named vice president, and Olivia Herman, Jim Thorpe, who will be the district’s new treasurer.

The Carbon chapter was also lauded for the recent success of its blood program.
