Businessman Jamie Barton announces his campaign to run for state representative in the 124th Legislative District.

“I have dedicated my life to serving my community and helping others. For 32 years at Jack Rich, Barton has served residential and business clients with fuels, HVAC services, lubricants and electricity. He was instrumental in pioneering the acquisition of eight businesses and manages a team of 45 employees.

As a leader in the energy industry, Barton serves on the Berks/Schuylkill Oil Dealers Association, the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Petroleum Association, served on the CITGO Petroleum Marketer Council and is a member of the Anthracite Region Independent Power Producers Association.

In his community, Barton serves as a lay minister and a leader on the consistory of his church. Barton is a past president and current board member of the Orwigsburg Lions Club and past vice president and current board member of Big Impact Group of Schuylkill County.

As a lifelong conservative constitutionalist, Barton has been supportive of the Republican Party and serves on the Berks Patriots Legislative Committee, and is a member of the NRA.

Barton was voted the 2017 Citizen of the Year by the Orwigsburg Lions Club, and the 2021 Businessman of the Year by the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce.

“I believe I can be a leader in eliminating property tax and wasteful spending, protect voter rights, and revitalize the Pennsylvania energy industry,” said Barton.
