The construction on Route 209 not only impacts people traveling on Route 209, it also impacts some businesses.
Monday night at the Chestnuthill supervisors meeting, Chuck Niclaus with Barry Isett & Associates submitted a final plan on behalf of Pleasant Valley Plaza on Route 209 in Brodheadsville.
“PennDOT is coming into the entire front of the parking lot, making a temporary easement. Nine parking spaces are being eliminated, So we are proposing parking in the back where there’s a loading kind of area and then extending it out and putting parking back there,” Niclaus said.
A letter dated Jan. 13, which is noted for certifications, had to be signed and executed on the plan, township engineer Chris McDermott said.
“There was the stormwater or issue regarding the inlets along the PennDOT improvement. We did receive confirmation that are still in the PennDOT plan, They just haven’t done it as a matter of a construction sequence yet.”
All that remains is a few notations and a contribution of $2,000 to the stormwater maintenance fund. That amount is recommended for clients, McDermott said.
There were no questions from the floor, and the motion for conditional approval passed.
