SS. Peter and Paul events

SS. Peter and Paul parish announces the following events:

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered on the Lord’s Day at SS. Peter and Paul Parish by Father Christopher M. Zelonis, assisted by Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm Jr., on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 7:45 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Daily Masses are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 8 a.m. Father Zelonis offers the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) 45 minutes before Masses on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

During the painting of the church interior, for approximately six weeks, Masses and all other parish events will take place in the school hall.

Mask wearing is strongly encouraged because of the spatial restrictions and the current wave of the pandemic.

Backyard Bash

Members of the Backyard Bash Block Party committee will meet after the 10 a.m. Mass on Sunday.

In conjunction with the worldwide Synod of Bishops, Catholics of any level of identification and participation may complete an online survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/AllentownSynod.

Super Bowl bingo

Super Bowl LVI Bingo takes place at 1 p.m. Feb. 13 in the parish hall (Snow Date Feb 20). Doors open at 11:45 a.m., bingo starts at 1 p.m. $15 for packages only. Food and refreshments available.

Cooking challenge

Father Zelonis and Mike Gonzalez will represent SSPP in Cooks With Collars, an online cooking competition to raise funds for parishes and Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Allentown. Visit www.cookswithcollars.com to see priests from around the diocese creating delicious kitchen concoctions. Vote between Jan. 28 and March 1 for the diocesan top chef. Each vote is just $10. All voting proceeds benefit the parish of that priest.
