Credit defaults

The following actions were filed by credit card companies, or their collection agencies, for alleged defaults on credit card/loan accounts.

Cavalry SPV I, Valhalla, New York, filed an action against Bridget M. Curreri, 69 Caedman Drive, Albrightsville, seeking $7.687.84.

Midland Credit Management Inc., San Diego, California, filed the following actions: Nicole Taff, 648 Mountain Road, Albrightsville, seeking $2,747.75; Benjamin Turner, 322 Second St., Weatherly, seeking $1,328.56; Daniel C. Murray, 101 E. Ludlow St., Summit Hill, seeking $4,413.95; and Jessica A. Allen, 35 Shortridge Road, Albrightsville, seeking $674.04.

LVNV Funding, Las Vegas, Nevada, filed an action against Shawn Klingle, 1080 Forest Inn Road, Palmerton, seeking $2,022.39.

Synchrony Bank, Canonsburg, filed an action against Deisha Warntz, 178 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton, seeking 43,445.88.

Bill owed

Hop Energy LLC, 841 Lincoln Ave., West Chester, filed an action against Shawn Shupp, 536 Ore St., Palmerton, alleging he owes a bill for services rendered. Sought is $1,900.09 plus costs.

Mortgage foreclosures

The following actions were filed as mortgage foreclosures for alleged defaults on loans.

M&T Bank, c/o One Fountain Plaza, Buffalo, New York, filed an action against Joy and Lewis Armbruster, and Kyle A. Strohl, 52 W. Fourth St., Jim Thorpe, over property at that address. Sought is $63,095.29 and continuing interest.

M&T Bank, also filed an action against “the unknown heirs of David W. Christman,” over property at 28 Mahoning Mountain Road, Lehighton, Mahoning Township, seeking $28,623.59 and continuing interest.

MMS Mortgage Services, c/o 38275 W. Twelve Mile Road, Farmington, Minnesota, filed an action against Jeffrey M. Dennis, 16 W. Holland St., Summit Hill, over property at that address. Sought is $44,096.68 and continuing interest.

Loan defaults

Accelerated Inventory Management LLC, 1800 Second St., Sarasota, Florida, filed the following actions alleging the defendants defaulted on loans.

Rondel Chase, 916 Old Stage Road, Albrightsville, seeking $2,957.78 plus interest, costs and fees.

Layne Greenzweig, 10085 Interchange Road, Palmerton, seeking $3,631.72 plus interest, costs and fees.

Oliphant Financial LLC, same address as Accelerated, filed an action against Steve McEvoy, 846 Blakeslee Blvd. Drive East, Lehighton, over a loan default seeking $32,186.64 plus interest, costs and fees.

Slip/fall suit

Jacqueline O. Serafino, 154 Savannah Lane, Lehighton, has filed a “slip and fall” suit against Carbon Dack Associates, 1241 Blakeslee Blvd. Drive East, Lehighton; Dack Realty Associates, 1308 Society Drive, Claymont, Delaware; and Giant Food Stores LLC, 1149 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle.

Defendant Dack is identified the title owner of property in the Carbon Plaza Mall where Giant Food Stores operates gas pumps, specifically at 1241 Blakeslee Blvd. Drive East.

The suit states on Jan. 30, 2021, the plaintiff was at the service area to purchase gasoline for her vehicle. The pump area has a canopy over it.

The plaintiff exited her vehicle to prepay for the gas when she was caused to slip and fall due to icy conditions from water dipping through the canopy, it is alleged.

She sustained injuries which are detailed in the suit.

Negligence is alleged against the defendants and sought are damages in excess of $50,000 on each of three counts.
