State police at Bethlehem

State police at Bethlehem report on the following incidents:

• State police said Derek Hedmeck, 32, of Lehighton, was the victim of an egg-throwing incident at 12:56 a.m. Dec. 27.

It happened in the 3500 block of Howertown Road in Allen when someone in an unidentified threw the eggs at Hedmeck’s 2000 Audi A4 as it traveled south on Howertown Road.

The car sustained damage to its driver’s side headlight, police said.

• Police are investigating an identity theft case in which a Slatington man is the victim.

They were called to the 3400 block of Lengel Lane, Washington Township, at 12:15 p.m. Nov. 3 when the victim told police his employer gave him fraudulent documents regarding an unemployment claim.

• Christine Hydro, 43, of Lehighton, was cited on charges of harassment by communications after an incident at 9:05 a.m. Dec. 21.

Police said a 39-year-old woman from the 7300 block of Route 873, Washington Township, Slatington, told police Hydro posted multiple slanderous social media posts.

• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident in which someone threw eggs at an inflatable snowman at a property at 4428 Murray St., North Whitehall Township.

The Orefield resident reported the incident a 6:56 a.m. Dec. 25.
