In partnership with the American Craft Spirits Association, the STEPUP Foundation chose Eight Oaks Farm Distillery as one of only three distilleries in the country to host two interns in 2022 as they take part in the STEP­UP Foundation’s new initiative.

The purpose of this new initiative is, “to expand and provide underserved and underrepresented individuals with training, encouragement and opportunities to enter the craft spirits community through a comprehensive yearlong, immersive internship program.”

Eight Oaks’ CEO Chad Butters said, “At the heart of everything we do is our commitment to help make our community a better place. That community also includes our distilling community, and we’re honored to participate in this program.

“We have a responsibility to share the knowledge we have gained from so many generous folks in this industry. We can’t wait to welcome our two interns in 2022.”

Butters continued, “Each intern will spend 8-12 weeks with us, and learn about every part of operating a distillery.

“They’ll get hands-on experience with distillation, safety, marketing and much more, with a graduation at the end of the year. This is going to be a great learning opportunity for all of us.”
