A 47-year-old Orefield man died in a two-vehicle crash at 6:26 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Snowdrift Road and Hickory Lane in Orefield.

The Upper Macungie Township Police Department is investigating the collision. Police did not release the name of the deceased.

Police said the crash occurred when a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Allentown man was westbound on Hickory Lane and a vehicle operated by the deceased was southbound on Snowdrift Road. Police said both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, resulting in the collision.

A passenger in the car with the 47-year-old sustained moderate injuries and was transported to an area trauma center, as was the 19-year-old, police said.
