Northern Lehigh School Board took the following action on Monday:

• Approved the purchase of a Nacecare Floor Scrubber for the high school at a cost of $3,810, to be funded through the Buildings and Grounds budget.

• Rejected a motion to develop an Early Retirement Incentive Plan, for all eligible professional employees on a volunteer basis, for the 2021-2022 school year.

• Agreed to pay for PSBA 24-hour accident insurance for administrators at a cost of $26.50 per administrator per year for 2022, to be paid from the superintendent’s budget.

• Approved the 2021-2022 Northern Lehigh School District Salary Schedule.

• Approved an expulsion hearing waiver for two students, who were not identified except by their student ID numbers, as the students and guardians have agreed to waive their rights to a formal expulsion hearing in front of the school board, and have also agreed to disciplinary action outlined in the waiver.

• Approved Michael Lehtonen, helping teacher, Paige Schmidt, inductee, $800 (prorated), and Greg King, helping teacher, Paige Schmidt, inductee, $88 (prorated).
