The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Oct. 11-15 is as follows:

Monday: Center closed

Tuesday: Pork chop with apple butter, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, cookie or turkey pita

Wednesday: Center closed

Thursday: Turkey chili, peppers and onions, corn, cornbread, apple slices or egg salad sandwich

Friday: Stuffed pepper soup, breaded fish sandwich, broccoli slaw, cookie or Greek salad with turkey

The center has also announced upcoming events for Oct. 8-15.

Now You Have It Now You Don’t on Oct. 8 at 11 a.m.

Center closed on Oct. 11; Birthday Bingo on Oct. 12 at 10:45 a.m.; Penn’s Peak Show on Oct. 13, doors open at 11 a.m.; Michelle Nutter from the Attorney General’s Office will present The Top 10 Senior Scams on Oct. 14 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Oct. 15 at 10:45 a.m.

Pool, Cards, Games and Socialization available every day.

New members always welcome.

Summit Hill

Trunk or Treat

St Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley in Summit Hill is holding its annual Trunk or Treat and Oktoberfest on Oct. 30.

Call the parish office at 570-645-2664, ext. 1 to reserve your space.

Trunk or treat will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Oktoberfest will take place following 4 p.m. Mass at the pavilion pole building. Food and nonalcoholic beverages will be available for sale. There will also be a mini-basket auction.
